Bio

Growing up in small town after small town in the mid-western United States, the closed minded appeal was strongly evident and easily grasped. It was easy to view the behind closed doors attitudes that hid away a varying situations of neglect and abuse; the very thought of these situations was believed impolite in social situations, though constantly belittled in gossiping circles. After having experienced all sides of this social situation, whether it being abused, or being the one gossiped to, a need was created to aid in the lives affected.

Artist, and member of the Kansas City Art Institutes class of 2016, Alex Hipkins is a mid-western United States native pursuing a career within the art education field as a way to aid in the ushering in of the next generation of artists, while also being able to follow a passion for teaching, and the footsteps of the people who have inspired him in his lifetime.
